What does Snoopy say? ›

Snoopy imagines himself to speak, but never actually does, other than nonverbal sounds and occasionally uttering "Woof". His very articulate thoughts are shown in thought balloons. In the animated Peanuts films and television specials, Snoopy's thoughts are not verbalized.

At the same time however, Charlie Brown could sometimes act more harsh to Snoopy in the early years, calling him a stupid dog more often and even calling him a "Dime-O-Dozen" which really hurt Snoopy's feelings. In strips from later years, Charlie Brown gets a little annoyed by Snoopy's laziness.

Snoopy falls in love with Fifi at first sight. He follows her from a train wagon into a circus tent, at which point he is grabbed by Fifi's trainer, a girl named Polly, and made part of the act.
