How to Make Cheesy Crock Pot Chicken
Aunt Lou here.
We love this recipe fromGooseberry Patch’s Super Fast Slow Cooking. I have made this Cheesy Crock Pot Chicken before. It was actually one of my first times using my crock pot. I had no idea back then that this recipe would start a love affair with my crock pot. My first time around, it was summertime and I loved that I didn’t have to use my oven and heat up the house.
You see, I’m a bit weird when it comes to wastefulness. It is one of my biggest pet peeves. So paying to cool down the house while simultaneously heating it up with the oven just seems wasteful to me. My crock pot saved me from that irritation!
Recipe Notes
- We originally made this recipe on our sister site. We have made it from years from Gooseberry Patch’s Super Fast Slow Cooking.
- For this recipe, I used my Hamilton BeachProgrammable Insulated Slow Cooker. Any 6 quart slow cooker would do. This one is just so easy to clean up that I use it every time I can. The food literally falls off with just my kitchen sink sprayer.

Can this meal be frozen?

Aunt Lou says
Hi Denise!I haven’t tried freezing this, but think it might work. You will want to use fresh chicken, not chicken that has been previously frozen, when you make it the first time. Also, you will want to serve it over freshly cooked rice or noodles. If you give it a try, let me know how it goes!

I’m trying the Cheesy Crock Pot Chicken today! I have 1 question do I combine all the soup mixtures in a seperate pot with water which it calls for, heat it then pour it over the chicken?
