1. A-Train Station
ALL ABOARD! You don’t wanna miss this train. A-Train Station is an American food truck where the food is fire—a spicy food lover’s dream. Looking for some good hot wings? Wing flavors include:

Not a hot wing fan? You can get more mild flavors like garlic pepper and mild or order a sandwich, wrap or nachos.
2. O’ My Turkey Leg
O’ My Turkey Leg is a food truck and catering business that specializes in—you’ve guessed it—turkey legs. However, they aren’t limited to just turkey legs—they whip it up in several ways including:

- Smoked turkey wraps
- Smoked philly sandwiches
- Pulled sandwiches with pickles
Catch the truck at food truck parks in areas like Forestdale, East Lake and Birmingham City Hall.
3. Aww Shucks
Owner Phillip Powell began providing Greater Birmingham with his gourmet fire roasted corn alongside his wife in March 2020. They wanted to give citizens who live a vegan lifestyle an option at festivals, concert events and more. However, anyone can enjoy the roasted goodness of their corn—whether you’re vegan, vegetarian or a meat-eater.

4. Nawlins Style Po’ Boys
Love Cajun cooking? Get a taste of New Orleans at Nawlins Style Po’ Boys food truck. Nawlins travels all around Birmingham serving the city with their authentic sauces, seasonings and po’boys. Their po’boy styles include:
- Bourbon Street shrimp
- French Quarter hot sausage
- Canal catfish
- Nawlins cheesesteak

5. Dirty Red
Dirty Red, named after owner Nelesha Dale’s nickname, is spicing up Birmingham. Dale opened her food truck in 2017 and has been sharing her savory dishes with the city ever since. Dirty Red offers:

But according to Dale, you gotta try the corn and burgers. Her secret is using her own seasonings!
6. Fat Charles BBQ
We’re big fans of Fat Charles BBQ and they continue to wow the city with barbecue-style tacos more and more. Co-owners and brothers, Charles and Christopher Pilot, have been serving the city with their family’s secret recipes since May 2018.
They are known for having mouth-watering tacos but they also offer:
- Quesadillas
- Chicken wings
- Fried shrimp
- Burgers
If you want a bite of those bangin’ birria tacos, I suggest you get there early—they sell out quickly.
7. Terrific Treatz
Terrific Treatz is a candy store on wheels. It’s one of the many treat trucks in Birmingham and the first female-owned candied fruit business in the Magic City. Menu options include:
- Lemonade
- Candied green grapes
- Fully loaded strawberry cheesecake pineapple bowls
- Strawberry cheesecake saladz
- More
8. Coco Crabs
Seafood and shellfish lovers, this one’s for you. Coco Crabs will have you going coo-coo for more. Their nicely seasoned crab and lobster tails can not be refused but nothing beats their original signature sauces including:
- Garlic butter
- Cajun butter
- Lemon butter
I recommend trying the creamy-white Coco sauce.
9. Treats So Sweet
If you have a serious sweet tooth like me, you’ll love this. Treats So Sweet is a dessert truck that will have you stalking Facebook for their next location. Owner Jermeria Johnson began selling her delectables ten years ago and now has a food truck and storefront off Springville Road in Roebuck. Along with the set menu options, you can also request treats for a special order.
Treats So Sweet offers:
- Scratch-made cakes
- Cupcakes
- Gourmet apples
- More
I recommend trying the banana pudding—the definition of “oh, so sweet!”
10. Word of Mouth BBQ
Word of Mouth owner, Jesse, started his grill on wheels 6 months ago and the BBQ flavors that hit your tongue will have you speechless. The Florida native has been grilling for over fifteen years and decided to bring his skills to the Magic City. Menu options include:
- Ribs
- Boston butt
- Jerk turkey burgers
- Beef hotdogs
- More
Fun fact: His first customer was Rickey Smiley!
